Day 33 (July 23) – Denali Park Village to Teklanika Campground

After a day of rest and reorganization we headed into the national park for a five day camping trip. The Teklanika Campground is at mile 29 on the park road and requires a obtaining a special pass in order to drive your vehicle to the campground and a minimum three day camping period. The big advantage is you can also obtain a “Tek Pass” which allows you to ride the park buses up and down the road getting off wherever you want and returning when you want for every day your camped at the campground.

Some of the mountains could be seen, but just enough clouds were around to obscure Denali.
