Day 20 (July 10) – Liberty Falls Hike

The weather in the morning looked somewhat promising, at least it wasn’t raining. We drove part way up the Edgerton Highway to LIberty Falls and hiked up to a viewpoint on a ridge where we ate our lunch. We could catch an occasional glimpse of the base of some of the big mountains, but that was it. As we were eating our lunch it started to rain and big thunder showers formed after that. We returned to our camp to find muddy waters flowing through the campsite. We had been prepared though and our tent was dry inside and so was the picnic table under our screen house.
